I found a generic video--"What to Expect during a Home Inspection". I went to my admin menu, went to content, added a page and published the video with my own introduction. Now, I can't seem to fugure out how to add a "Videos" catagory to my Main Menu and link the two together(so others can see the video).

Did you make the page invisible by accident? Try to edit the page, and check out your publishing options. I think what your saying is the whole page is not there? So in order to do what I just said you would have to find it under content. That should work if I am understanding you correctly.

The content is there and it shows "published". Then I go to the menu page and enter the title and add the path, then I hit publish. Problem is: no tab for Home Inspection Video appears on my navigation menu.

O.K.- I have established a tab under my main menu page that says "home inspection video". However, when I click the tab, it takes me to: Page cannot be found. How can I add content to this menu tab?

When you edit the page yo want to go there, make the parent of the page that menu item. For example, if you want to make a sub page under 'Home' you would set the parent for hat page as 'home' and then it would come up under that item.

Create a page that says something like : Please view one of the videos in the menu on the left. Go to Menus and edit the menu item and click Expanded. Then set the other two page to have a menu parent of the page you just created.

Really lost on this one. Under Menus (navigator), I clicked expanded then submit. Nothing happened. Where do I put my video info so the content connects with the menu tab?

You create a new page, add the video to the page and in the menu section on the page, set the parent to be the lead page you created.

When I go to edit the menu item, the drop down is set to Navigation. When I click the drop down, and scroll through the catagories, I do not see "Home Inspection Video"- which DOES appear as a new menu item that I previously created.

Thanks Ian- Commendable trying to help the handicapped. If you go to my site www.calcertified.com, you see my Main Menu, which includes the menu item Home Inspection Video. My goal is to have people simply click that particualar tab, which will bring them to a page (one page is sufficient), where they will be able to make a choice of clicking on serveral video options. I created the page, copied and pasted a youtube video, and the message stated: "page created". Problem is, when I go back to my main menu page and click Home Inspection Video, it takes me to "page not found".

Check that the url path is correct. The url path for the page and the link from the navigation menu item have to be the same.

The url path from the page and the link from the navigation menu have to be the same. We could be onto something here. Now, when I right click the youtube video I want to display, I copy the html code and then paste it in both the url path AND the link from the Nav menu? Then, I should be good to go?

NO!! The url path is the text you added to the url path section of the page you made. When I click on your menus item for the video it takes me to this page http://www.calcertified.com/home-inspection-video.html and it says page not found. The url path is this part home-inspection-video.html. The page and the menu item link have to have that as the url path.

I see you got it. Good job. Was it the url path? There is one problem with it. The video has the ServiceMagic.com website on it; your potential client may decide to go to that site and look for home inspectors. I always find it detrimental to have links to other sites where your competition resides. I suggest that you find another video or make a video of your own. This way your client stays on your site, plus they get to see you in action.

Right-O Mike. Don't give the client a reason to check out other inspectors, much less show them where to do it. I like Mikes' idea, make a video of your own, so they see you being a good home inspector.

Greg, you may want to remove the pricing page from your site. You want them to call you about pricing so you can sell yourself to them. I sent you a PM with other ideas.

Don't remove the page, but only list a basic 'starting price' and explain why then need to call to get a quote.
