I thought this would be a fitting title for me, now I can just come back to this thread topic.
Ok, I did my Daughters report and with a house in good condition, I still ended up with 34 pictures and 41 pages total. Using the default template that I keep changing everynow and then.
I tried to save some ink by eliminating the black header, but it also took out the Font title. If I change the header color to white, do I need to change the Font color to black?
I had previously added a couple of narratives, one for structural and one for plumbing. They both ended up in the right sections, but are on a page all by themselves, so this added two pages I guess.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks

Hi Marcel,
Yes if you changed the header background color to white, you'd need to change the font color as well. Go to Report Settings->Formatting and click on Company Font, Header Font and Report Title Font, and change them to black. Note, that most people make the reports very colorful and just don't print them! They only email them. That way you have a good looking report without the cost of spending ink.
As far as the narratives for structural and plumbing, I'm guessing you're talking about documents. Make sure to check the box that says to include the document on the same page (the check box is there when you're editing the document). This will make it print on the same page as the section itself.

Thanks Dominic.
The Cover Page and Summary did not change, that printed ok black and white. Under Header, if I put that white, do I need to put black for Header font?
I guess, I am old fashion, I just like to give the client a book, Binder with cover page on it, the report, and a bunch of other stuff. I am not in to colors. I don't paint pictures, I tell them what's wrong.

Yes, put black for the header font.
You might not be into colors, but you'd be surprised how much other people (i.e. clients, agents) like them.

Is there a way to add that index we see when reviewing the report? My summary is at the beginning and would be nice to have an index as shown in the review.
Thanks

Another question, Is there a quicker way to change all the colors on the header and font, other than one at a time.?
Thanks

Hi Marcel,
Yes, change the colors to what you want under Report Settings->Formatting. Then go to Report Settings->Section Colors & Print Order and click Reset Colors.
The index shows if you're emailing the PDF to your client, otherwise your summary acts as your index as it includes the page number and item of every issue. A few guys have asked for a full table of contents and it's on the to-do list for a future version.
