**Update. You can now change the header & footer for themes 1-10****

For example, the large header image in Theme 2 can now be replaced by any image you want. To do this go to Themes->Theme 2->Configure and the last option on the page is to replace the header image by browsing for an image on your local computer.

Note, you MUST use the same sized image, which is listed right below the browse button. In the case of Theme 2 the image needs to be 931x278 pixels. You could include text or anything else you want on the image (and turn off the sites text), or you could use the usual Site Title, Slogan or header block to add that text to the image. The latter will allow you quick flexibility. The only caveat to that is that the text will always be in the same upper right area so you need to remember that when making your image.

Copies of the original PSD and JPEG's can be found in the Website Images link on the home page.

If you do not have a photo editing program, download GIMP, it's free and equivalent to Photoshop. You can download it here

If you swap out the image, let me know, I'd like to see it.

I will be working on the other themes over the weekend.

Now included in Theme 1 as well. You can swap out both the entire header and footer image with your own image. The dimensions you need are listed on the theme configuration page.

Done with Theme 3, you can now change the image in the top right to whatever you want, and the top left is a block location so you can add anything you want there too. The image MUST be 165 pixels tall and UP TO 420 pixels wide for the top right slot.

You can now replace the top header image of Theme 04 with one of your own. It must have the dimensions of 784 pixels wide and 211 pixels high. I've attached an image to the Theme 4 post in the themes board that contains a blank image with these dimensions including the border around the existing image for your use.

Ok, finally finished it so you can change the images in theme 5. If you log into the home inspector pro website, on the left is a link for Website Images under the Home Inspector menu. Under that you can find a PSD and JPEG version of the header image as well as a link to GIMP a photo editing program. You can edit the header however you want but the dimensions (width x height) can't be changed. Remember that you can control the text that appears in the peach area in the top left from within the website itself so you don't need to add text physically on to the image. It's better to do it from the site (though not necessary).

I will be adding PSD and JPEG images for the rest of the themes as time goes on.

You change the image by going to your themes configuration and browsing for a new header (and/or footer) at towards the bottom. Clicking reset to default will replace the images with the originals.

Not to be too much of a nag, but I would LOVE to be able to change out the Picture in Theme 8 with my own.  Any idea as to when that will be done?

Very soon. I've been trying to finish the 25 themes and then go back to get the rest of the image replacement features added in. I'll try to just work on 8 tonight instead of theme 25. I can use a change in what I'm working on anyways!

I just changed my header image in theme 10.
With a few minor adjustments to the original image, it worked great!  Smiley

Check it out and let me know what you think...

I used GIMP to edit one of my thermal images to create my header image as you see it.

That's a VERY slick program for FREE!!!

Bill, I think it looks awesome. It really fits your theme. I think this is working out great, there's no reason for people who have the same themes to have sites that look the same. Glad you like GIMP. I think it does a damn good job considering it's competitor is the several hundred dolor photoshop!

Julian, I'm not sure if you saw my other post. But image replacement works for theme 1-10 now. You can change our your header. There are PSD files to open in photoshop or GIMP in the Website Image Download area you can find on the left menu on our home page (when logged in).

Theme 16 is now fully customizable. The background (wood grain), main header image (sold sign) and the green bar above and below it can now be replaced. Go to Themes->Configure to upload your images. Click Reset to Defaults to return back to the original. You can download the images used in the theme by going to the home page of Home Inspector Pro (this site) and clicking on Website Images (must be logged in).
