I would not pay much attention to the site logs. Dom explained to me that the Google analytics is much more accurate and his site logs were weak and that is why they have been removed from the new websites. More than likely the sites are not linking to you.

The site logs stink. The porn sites must like you! Actually you probably had Google Ads going at some point and the ads showed on their sites. Or they were just listing any info on the net, I wouldn't worry about it. No you can't get them to stop linking to you unless you have connections to the KGB.

I used the "Google Analytics" tab in my admin menu to complete this. (not the block/footer process). I placed my "web property ID" in the appropriate spot and also placed the code that Google gave me into the "custom java script/code snippet (before)". Saved. That is all I did.

Is this correct? I do not see anywhere on my google analytics home page that it said "verified".

Also,
what is the difference between code snippet "before/after"?
what is "add segmentation information tracking code"? (it only reads "user roles")
what is "file extension to track"? (I left that alone)

Yes that's correct. These instructions are for our older sites.

You don't need to worry about the other items. Check your analytics in 24 hours to see if stats are showing.
