Ya, that will be a great feature. Like I said I use the "acer grid" feature which has 2, 3, or 4 panels, and also has a "transparent" option which is pretty cool.
I went through last night all of my comments. I have a ton of different comments I use in each section and it was taking time to go through and find the one I wanted. I divided them up to make it easier. I put in a
----------------GFCI---------- sakehwirfyhweiufhwq askjhriufhgiufgeqrf askgfjehrferh srkgfjehgfiueh --------------LIGHTS----- asdgfdsrgedgf sfggrewgwd rgewthyrvtyvre whgberybrtyb -------------Other------------ asgfewrg asdgwdg
In my comments to make items easier to find. Just wanted to share in case someone else needs to gain some time.

Very good tip for the guys that have combined some of their sections. I've seen a few others like Russ do the same and it makes things easier.

Ok new discovery
If you open a PDF , you can drag words into the comments Just highlight and click drag to the box. This means you can create special PDFs seprate from the templates to be more flexable

............. You can actually split screen any two windows. Hold down the ctrl button, click on the two windows in the bottom taskbar on your computer, right click on one of the and select "Show windows side by side" in vista, and I think it says "Tile vertically" in xp, but it's been awhile so I'm not sure of the exact terminology. Thanks for pointing that out, it's a great tip.
Well that was a great tip. Works fine in XP but how do I do it in Vista on my Q1? I don't have an external keyboard and if I hold down the ctrl key with the on screen kyb I can't select the the task bar items. Any ideas?

Thanks Bob. I just tried that. I make a pdf of my contract for each client with the name, address and fee so I can email to him before the inspection. With the "split screen" I can just drag that whole contract into "documents" and have it appear in the report. Sweet.

I don't see why it would be any different on Vista, it's a normal version of vista. Do you see the taskbar items depressed when you hold down the ctrl button and click on both programs?

I don't have a usb kyb to try so it might work fine with that.
The on screen kyb ctl key locks but as soon as I click on one of the task bar windows the ctl key unlocks. I haven't found a way to keep the ctl key on while selecting multiples.

Hmm, you should be able to hold it down the whole time or, hold ctrl and click on the first window, then hit ctrl and the 2nd window.

DOM that works but I just drag because I fill the screen with just the pics (scratch book marks and reduce the PDF to where I can just see enough to know what the pic is about. Almost thumbnail size. That why more of my comments can be read.

Yup, manually works fine too, but on the Q1 I'm sure he's going to want it about 50/50 anyways.

It works fine in the high resolution setting it has which is 1024x600, but it's hard on some people's eyes (more like PDA resolution but larger screen). It can also go to 800x400 resolution which makes everything a lot larger but the images in add photo end up small at since everything else is larger. I'm working on a fix for that which Mike and the other Q1 users will get to test out soon.

Done. The caption text field has been replaced with an editable drop down box. After selecting the Section and Tab name drop downs the new drop down box is populated with the red items first, then a ------, then the black items (since red will probably be used more often). Every time you click the drop down box it checks to see if you've added any new comments in the section. You can edit the comment after you've selected it, and spell check is active on the field.
