Just looking to buy quickbooks ,when I came across this free version that I downloaded and find to be quite good.
No reason to pay , if you do not yet have the software as this seems to have all you could need.

It seems to me that the free version comes with the programming for new computers - must be associated somehow with Microsoft.  I have used Quick Books for years - very good.

The free version might be installed by some manufactures like Dell, but it's definitely not distributed by Microsoft itself as it would conflict with their own package.

Nice find Bob!

Well, my home computer is HP and my laptop is Toshiba.  Both have Quick Books.  My assumption was that it came through the software programming, Microsoft, but Dom is probably right - it might be that both those entities have ties to Quick Books or vice versa.  Anyway, good find Bob and hope it works well for you!  I like the Quick Books program - easy to use, understandable and, um, quick...!
