Google has a yellow pages type system where you can type in a name and city or zip into google search and your listing will show up. For example, try "Accurate Inspections in Glendora, CA".

To see if google has you listed type in your name city and state. If they don't have you listed, make sure to add yourself for free here: http://www.google.com/local/add/lookup?hl=en-US&gl=US

For those of you offering coupons, you might want to consider adding one to your google listing. For an example, check out http://www.google.com/search?num=100...ca&btnG=Search and click on More Information.

Yahoo also has a local business search, you can add your listing here: http://listings.local.yahoo.com/csubmit/index.php or go to your existing listing by checking http://local.yahoo.com/ and update your listing.

MSN's local search is here: http://cityguides.msn.com/ if you aren't listed, create one here: http://advertising.superpages.com/spweb/products/business-profile (msn uses superpages listings).

The business listings can put you right on the top of the search engines for at least the main city your business is in rather quickly
