Any thoughts on where to put a .jpg of my signature (required in IL).  I had just added it at the end (with name + Lic # as cation), but the section heading was photos.  What else are you guys doing?

Hey Rick,

Is it required to add it to the report, or just to the contract in IL? I haven't heard anyone else saying it was required on the report itself. I have on my to-do list the ability to add a digital signature for the contract page for the few people who wanted it. Most people email the contract or print it themselves and have it signed on the job site right before it's done.

You could add your signature as part of your logo on the cover page for now. Let me know what the IL law states so I can make sure a feature is added so you can abide by it.

Yeah, here's the text....

"At the conclusion of the home inspection, a home inspector shall submit a written report to the client or duly authorized representative within 48 hours that includes the home inspector's signature and license number and expiration date and shall:..."

Can't copy their PDF.

Where are you getting it from? I can download it from the same place. Or forward it to me.

other resources; rules; page 11; paragraph 3

http://www.state.tn.us/commerce//boards/hic/index.html

A footer on the summary page that will take an image would work.

Hey David,

I see it:
Quote
State the name, license number, and signature of the person conducting the inspection.

Does the signature on the Contract page count? If not, for now include the signature as part of your company logo on the cover. Or as a pic at the end of the report like Rick has done. I'll have to work something up. Other than putting it in the summary, where else would you guys like it?

The cover page would also work as our company and inspector information is commonly there.

It doesn't sound like a contract signature will cover the report signature requirement.  As it specifically states the report minimum will have...
a signature.

Ok. Do you guys think I should create a separate signature upload for the signature on the cover page or just recommend that people upload their logo with the signature attached (horizontally attached would give you better size and quality) to it. If I add it as a separate upload, there is not much room on the cover right now so it would still be recommended to on the side of the logo. I guess I could give location options like we've done with the logo.

Would it be possible to add a jpg to a document?

Bob does it all the time. Originally the document feature had the ability but I have removed it due to issues with the quality and resizing. I haven't re-added it as I plan to rewrite how the document area works. Bob managed to get it to work anyways. I think he drags the images in, I'll ask him to post here. I guess stubbornness pays Cheesy

Hi
Paste it 1 1/2 page down.

If the top is cut off you did not go far enough.

I think a resize is sometimes needed like around 500 pix wide, but once in ,it is in.

Read this for a straight forward way to add your signature into a document:

Thanks to Stephen Stanczyk for staying up with me until 2:30am this morning while we played around testing this.
