Hey Dom,

I'm working on a report and am having a problem with the header footer options.

I feel it is confusing with the company name/site address in the header. To me it looks like the address is my company address. I chose client name/address in the top, and my name and company name in the bottom.

The problem is:

1. My company name is not fitting in the space and is cut in half.
2. In NY, it is required that the UID# be included in all letterheads, advertising, etc. I would like to include it.
Perhaps my name, UID# (11 digits), and tel number or website address.

What can we do, or better yet, can't you make it so we can edit the content ourselves? Some may like to include different info... or a slogan or something.

If you tell me the layout that you want, I can add it. It has to contain your name and your company name though. That's the only way we can protect ourselves and know that the person using the software is the person that bought it. Originally we didn't have that and we found a company that would make their own cover page and used one copy of the program for everyone. So now we make sure each page has the inspector name.

Are you looking for the top to be something like the contract page is? Let me know what you want in the top and bottom and I'll add it to the list.

Allowing adjustment of the font size of the header is on the list, and that would eliminate the problem of your really long name fitting.

Thanks Dom,

I would like:

                       Steven Turetsky, N.Y.S. UID# 16000002314
                inspectmyproperty.com / eifsinspectionsnewyork.com
                                         917-653-0115

I would like this in the footer. The top is fine for the client info.

Steven,

What about your company name? That needs to be on there. Also, where would you want the page numbers? Within the shaded area? Above the footer and centered?

Either above the footer, centered or offset is fine for the page numbers... or even in the header. Until I see how it looks, it's just a guess.

My name is actually more important than the co. name. Anyway, it's on the cover page. I don't want to make the footer any bigger than necessary.

I have to have the company name on every page otherwise it's a liability for us as all a person would have to do is make a new cover page. Look at the NACHI forums, there are quite a few people on there with the same first and last name. Even a few cases of 3 guys matching. Your website address is on the cover. Why does that need to be on every page? Plus it's probably getting emailed to them as well with the info.
