Make sure to include salem in your home page title, in your keywords, your description and your page itself. You might also consider adding a news feed for salem to your site. The written tutorial for that is up, animated is soon to follow.
Make sure to go over the SEO articles I've posted on this site too. You can find the link off the home page on the left.

Hi Dominic: I am trying to improve my SEO and have made changes to The Second area for Page titles (optinally specify etc.) To state performing, pricing, etc in the towns that I serve is that the correct spot to change, as I don't see it anywhere. Thanks again for all your help Patrick PJC Home Inspections LLC Member InterNACHI see www,nachi.org http://www.wisemanhomeinspections.com

Hi Patrick,
I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to. Can you explain a little more?

Dominic : click Edit on the page Dominic : The 2nd field says Page Title: Dominic : That's what will appear at the top of the browser Dominic : You want to get "Home Inspections" and cities in there as MUCH as possible on every page Dominic : for the home page make it Dominic : "Performing Home Inspections in x, x, x, x, and surrounding areas Dominic : For the pricing page make it Dominic : Home Inspection Prices in x , x, x, x, and surrounding areas Dominic : switch up the cities you use in the x, x, x Dominic : use the largest the most Dominic : Do that to every page and it will be a big boost PJC Home Inspect_0 : OK Thank You. I have got on the home page serving Orange County Dominic : if you wanted a plumber, what would you type into google? PJC Home Inspect_0 : Plumer in my town Dominic : exactly, not in your county
Dominic : use city names as much as possible Dominic : just dont use more than 5 or 6 on any page title I did this is the second page title area and can't see it anywhere. Where does it show up??

You can see it in the title of your browser (very very top of IE or Firefox). I see it on all your pages except for your home page, so you might want to check that one.

I see what you mean. There is a clitch in the Home Page, Might be the theme. If you gotto content. you can see the information. The clitch is when i am logged in a select Home page it reverts to the unlogged version. I think it kicks me out. If I select another item (about etc.) It shows a logged in version. Take a look it's weird. I can't get in to display the information. Patrick

A shift-refresh will fix that. It just means your local browser hasn't updated the content.

Dominic, You recommended to link with other inspectors to improve SEO. I looked on message board for how to link but dont see a "how to". Would you give me an example of who to link to and how to create the link? Thanks! Dave K. http://denversbesthomeinspector.com

Hi David,
The who are other inspector, real estate agents, contractors. People related to home inspections that will link to you in return.
I suggest you start a new thread here called link exchange and list your website and your company and areas you serve.
The how is quite easy. Click on Link under Create Content. Fill out the persons company name and areas they service, and their website address. Make sure to select the category for he link like Home Inspectors, and then submit. You'll see the entry on your links page.
I'm working on a simple way for everyone to create new categories as well.
Dominic
