I have added these links so far to my site. I will add as many as I can that have posted.

Please add my link to your site.

I have been really slow the last 2 weeks and I have tried newsletter gift checks, networking, calling agents.

I have been dragging my feet on the SEO.

I am thinking about a bulk mail to my local area to try to reach the consumer to perform maintenance inspections.

My best return on advertising has been Angie's List.

I have 20 inspections this year and I pay 100 a month.

That is over 20% of my business.

Thanks Jay, hot tip on the fliers. I was also thinking about offering a verbal/visual inspection. (no report) Just like a walk through only a complete inspection with the client there. (For those who can't afford a complete inspection) I do these for investors at times.  You are right,  Realtor s are my bread & butter, & they use who they use (again, some people don't like change) I have been leaving cards in boxes when ever I go by a realtors office & I set aside days to go smooze (BN). I also joined their associations & go to their luncheons to put a face to the cards. Usually when they give me a chance there is no regret . I guess I can't complain for my second year I've done quite a few, (tripled last years) it's just going from 6+ a week to 2-3 I get worried. I guess I should be happy with the economy being the way it is. I'll get to brain storming on the fall/winter fliers. (beings it snowed last night) Thanx, Steve Smiley

I have a trading software system that I utilize to evaluate stocks and stock trends.  I have many nano stocks that I have looked at, but the there are few companies really popular enough to generate demand for the stocks.  You are right, it is new and right now like digging for diamonds.  When something hits you will know it, but the technology is coming!

Oh there is!  You must have permission to show it to anyone other than who paid for it.  But if the option is there...  Main thing for me is to be able to verify that the report was looked at or downloaded.  That way we can know for sure if they get the report or not.  Don't need someone coming back later and saying oh I didn't get your report so I'm not paying.  Yeah, I did my first pay at closing deal.  I can see why people don't like to do it!  Wink

Speaking of buy, Jay what is your thoughts on nanotechnology?  Ive been thinking that this is going to be a great tech in the future and have pondered researching and buying into some co's that focus on it.  I think it would be kinda like digging for diamonds right now.

Problem is, what do you research this early on in such a new technology?

Steve-o - your website is but one of your many marketing tools.  Maybe in your area it isn't as utilized as in others.  You need to try other things - personal contact is always best.  Meet everyone you can - network clubs, BBB, realtor's offices, etc.  Make yourself visible and your product desirable and needed.  Flyers regularly placed in realtor's mailboxes works wonders.  Be consistent with them - size, color, heading - and be sure the information is useful and up-to-date.  My fall flyers talk about winterizing.  My spring flyers about the chores needed to get the house and garden ready for summer.  During the rainy season you can talk about wet basements, grading and drainage, extending downspouts, etc.  During ice and snow maybe about preventing ice damming, sidewalk and driveway safety, keeping gutters clean and so forth.  Regular and pertinent.

Determine your biggest source of referrals and hit them hard - that is probably your local realtors, but you might find lawyers, bankers, soil and structure engineers, mortgage loan officers all useful too.  Get in their faces (in a nice way...).  Let everyone know they can't get along without you!
