Title: Documents Post by: Bob Elliott on January 06, 2008, 10:00:13 PM Just rechecking.
I can see a future with lots of stored doc's and would like to make sure there is no limit storage , correct? Title: Re: Documents Post by: Dominic Maricic on January 06, 2008, 10:34:52 PM Nope, no storage limit. The documents are stored in the C:\Program Files\Home Inspector Pro\Data\Documents folder so they are just limited by your own computer. In fact if you send someone your template you need to send them the documents too. I'm working on a feature that would allow you to export both together to make it easier to share with other inspectors.
Title: Re: Documents Post by: Bob Elliott on January 08, 2008, 11:32:34 AM ok while on this subject, will lots of docs slow the program any?
Title: Re: Documents Post by: Dominic Maricic on January 08, 2008, 12:49:31 PM Nope. The drop down box polls the directory to create the list of docs. I guess if you had hundreds of documents it might take an extra second or two to create the list, but nothing real noticeable.
Title: Re: Documents Post by: Bob Elliott on January 08, 2008, 06:40:40 PM Thanks that helps as I would like to create a nice list which already is in the first stages.
Title: Re: Documents Post by: Dominic Maricic on January 08, 2008, 06:42:27 PM Sure thing! Let me know how it turns out.
Title: Re: Documents Post by: Steven Turetsky on July 08, 2008, 08:38:31 AM I just built a report oon an existing template. I wrote a new document to go before the summary. I cannot remove the old document. I removed the document, which totally deleted it from the list of documents even though I only wanted to remove it from that particular report, but it still shows up when I generate a report.
What am I doing wrong? Title: Re: Documents Post by: Steven Turetsky on July 08, 2008, 09:51:27 AM ok, i figured it out, appearently the document was in two places, and was still included in the second place.
