Title: reports
Post by: Mark Timpani on May 03, 2008, 09:04:30 AM
I have 2 computers. My desktop had all the HIP items on it . Report software, the HIP Program all my inspection pics etc. My new computer lap top, has the inspection software on it and I did 2 reports on it. The desk top now does not have these 2 inspection pics or reports on it. Can I copy these 2 reports from the laptop and paste them into the : cdrive, program files, HIP, client reports section on the  desk top with out messing anything up? That way my 2 comp would stay equal.

Yes you can. You'd want to copy of 2 the pdf's in Client Reports, and the 2 data files in Client Data

Mark,
I am constantly moving information from my laptop, which I take into the field, to my desktop. I keep a little 4gig thumb drive on my desk just for this purpose. I also email information from one computer to the other occasionally.

Hey David,

Glad to see another face on the forum :) Good point with the thumb drives, don't leave home without one! Emailing is also good and has the benefit of saving your documents out in cyberspace if your email is kept on your hosts servers (like our @HomeInspectorPro.com email is kept on Google's servers).
